Mum Sale, Sept. 28

Our Flower Guild will again offer mums for sale to support their ministry during the Homecoming Festival on September 28th. The mums come in a variety of colors and this year the they will be sold for $10 each or $27 for a trio. Please contact Nellie Reynolds if you have any questions.

Prayers and Pizza

Grace Church youth are invited, with their families and friends, once a month on Wednesday nights at 6PM for a Pizza Dinner and to read the short service of Compline together. Save the date and mark your calendars now for the following Wednesdays: September 10th, October 8th, November 12th, and December 10th.

Diners Club

After a successful first year of The Grace Diners Club we will be organizing new groups this Autumn. Members of the Grace Diners Club meet about once month for dinner, in homes and/or restaurants, to simply get to know others from our community over a shared meal, and maybe a ‘house’ cocktail. More information coming soon, contact Kristin Anderson with questions prior.

Blessing of the Animals

Calling all creatures, great and small! In honor of Saint Francis’ Feast Day we will offer blessings for animals on Sunday, October 5th. Your beloved feline and canine family members (along with lizards, teddybears, Labubus, etc) can join us indoors for the worship service at 10AM that day. For any pets who are not fans of large crowds or organ music there will also be an opportunity for blessings outdoors at 2PM.

Wednesday Walks

Beginning on Wednesday, May 14th at 8:30AM - You can meet Father Asa (and maybe on occasion his canine kid Asher) at the Labyrinth for casual conversation during a leisurely walk around parts of our neighborhood and through a portion of Nutley Memorial Park; returning to the sanctuary in time for Morning Prayer at 9:30AM.

Blessing of Backpacks- Sept 7.

On Sunday, September 7th we return to our regular Sunday schedule: 8AM (Holy Eucharist, Rite I, Spoken) and 10AM (Holy Eucharist, Rite II, with Choir). Rev. Asa will also offer blessings on backpacks at the 10AM service for students and teachers of all ages as their academic year begins.
